Osteoporosis Risk Assessment
Provided by Individual Wellbeing Diagnostic Laboratories

This test measures the levels of deoxypyridinoline (Dpd), a specific marker of bone resorption, which is excreted in urine. This is released as part of the natural process of bone breakdown and formation, from this test we are able to identify those people who have high bone turnover which puts them at high risk category for osteoporosis at a latter date.

The test requires a 1st or 2nd morning sample of urine which is then sent to the lab for analysis.
