Headaches and Migraine
Headaches are one of the most common complaints seen in medical practice, these may be caused by stress, dehydration, poor dietary factors or hormonal imbalances. Toxic overload may also play a role and the HMA test may be recommended. More seriously, migraine headaches affect about 17% of women and 5% of men some time in their life. Symptoms range from headache, nausea and vomiting, visual disturbance and dizziness.
The cause of migraine is often food allergies. In a controlled trial involving 88 children who suffered from server migraine, 93% showed improvement when their diet was modified to eliminate allergenic foods. Assessment of metabolic function may also be of benefit.
